With a thousand-year history as a port, the sea reflects what drives Bristol. Alongside the echoes of seafarers past are the sounds of a vibrant young city, with the latest in state-of-the-art facilities for Bristol conferences, venues and corporate business meetings. Bristol is, perhaps, best known for the Clifton Suspension Bridge, created by that great Victorian engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel, who was also responsible for other of Bristol's best-loved features, such as his great iron ship, the SS Great Britain and Temple Meads old station, the terminus for the Great Western Railway.
